The NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and is administered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). NDIS supports people with a permanent and significant disability which affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. This system is a new way that disability services are funded and delivered in Australia. It is the Government’s new way of providing a range of support to Australian citizens and residents under the age of 65 who have a disability and funding is provided directly to individuals.
There is a process that the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) follows and with a myriad of information, this might be overwhelming and confusing. A person may be eligible for the NDIS if: You have a significant and permanent disability that affects or substantially reduce your functional ability to do everyday things and need access to early intervention supports You are an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or a protected Special Category Visa holder You are under the age of 65 when first applying to become a participant Where applicable, meet the age/or phasing requirements for that area during the staged roll-out across Australia Please get in touch with us to learn more about eligibility and personalized supports we offer and we will guide you through the application form.
